A.M.I.E.CO is a association established by and for specialized nurses at the Dr. Horacio E. Oduber Hospital.
A.M.I.E.CO stands for: Aruban Medical Innovation and Education Conferences.
Our vision is that in-services, classes and conferences are a need to keep up with the latest in nursing care to keep healthcare workers fresh and enthusiastic about their work. We would like to create these learning opportunities in our famous Aruban Way!
Our first conference will take place on April 20th and 21st at the Radisson Aruba Caribbean Beach Resort in Aruba, NA, titled: ‘Trauma Care, Never let it rest until your good is better and your better is best!’ We will also organize activities here in Aruba!
Our first activity was to organize a resuscitation competition between numerous specialized healthcare workers in Aruba. The team that won the competition was named ‘The best resuscitation team in Aruba 2006'.
It was the team of the emercency room of the H.O.H. hospital that won this first competition.
